Attire for Band Tomorrow. PE Attire and School Bottoms. Report to band BY: 1:30pm *Muslim students please takenote: Rush for band after you're done. Mr Lim's words profound right? Don't worry, i'm here to explain it's meaning for you to absorb slowly. {/. Mr Lim: Beams and Pillars are the most important elements to a building. Seeing your motto on a Beam makes a lot of sense ./} - Beams: A long piece of timber or metal carrying the weight of part of a building. - Pillar: A vertical structure used as as support for a building. Meaning: So, In order for a building to stand upright and high, no doubts that the fundamentals should be laid, but also, a strong pillar/beam to support is equally important to hold the building still. If either one of the supports is shaky, the entire building will collaspe. So, what mr lim means here is, Be firm on YOUR and OUR Mottos. Yes, A Motto. What about that? In Band, each of us & the target/motto/beliefs and attitude is equivalent to one pillar. And in band, everyone matters especially when ours is such a small band. So, when each pillar has a strong foundation of all, the band will be standing strong and firm like a building. Summarising all together, A Motto represents one pillar. Everyone setting targets, working hard and achieving the best results is our Motto. Thus, when we all hold the same beliefs and strive towards it, it's the same as a beam & pillar supporting the building, thus holding it strong and stable! Understand people? :D OUR MOTTO: we should; we must; we can; we wil & C'Mon! It certainly killed quite a number of braincells yeahs? Very educational & testing your literature skills uh-huh? Haahs, Absorb it fully then. [: -Zoe :D "the strength of the wolf lies in the strength of the pack ; the strength of the pack lies in the strength of the wolf." - Mr Lim |
